Physical therapy can treat a much wider range of conditions than you may think. PT is most known for helping patients with pain, surgical recovery, and recovery from injuries like sprains and falls, but also helps people suffering from balance issues, numbness/tingling, vertigo, concussion recovery, vestibular conditions, and far more. Therapists use a variety of treatment methods including exercises, stretches, manual therapy, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and cervical traction to treat these conditions. If you have any questions about what we can help you with, just give Jason a call. He can walk you through whether PT can help with your condition, and what you can expect treatment options to be.

Vertigo is the feeling that the room is spinning, and can affect people of all ages. Issues with dizziness and balance problems lead to an incredibly high number of injuries in older adults, often leading to fractures and major injuries. In 2025, Jason completed his VRC (Vestibular Rehabilitation & Concussion) certification through the American Institute of Balance. This training included assessment of various causes of dizziness, and the appropriate treatment for them. If you are experiencing a sudden problem with dizziness, schedule an appointment today. Some of these specialized tests are time-sensitive.
See our Vestibular page for more info.

Jason’s VRC-AIB certification included education in a variety of assessments and treatments for concussions. Did you know that less than 10% of concussions lead to being knocked out? The CDC estimates that at least 1.6 million people experience concussions each year in the US. Of those, about half occur during youth sporting events and recreational activities, with the other half being due to falls. It is also estimated that as many as 50% of concussion injuries go undetected and untreated, especially among older adults.
See our Concussion page for more info.

Physical therapy aims to restore a patient to their highest possible level of function following surgeries such as:
Joint Replacements
Rotator Cuff Repair
Spinal Fusion
Carpal Tunnel Release
ACL Reconstruction
Achilles Tendon Repair
and more.

Prehab programs aim to improve surgical outcomes by participating in physical therapy in preparation for surgery. This includes exercises aimed at increasing strength and range of motion as much as possible without increasing pain. Prehab has been shown to speed recovery, reduce post-operative pain, and improve overall function following surgery.

Did you know that each year, 3 million people 65 and over are treated in emergency rooms for falls, with 1 out of 5 sustaining serious injury?
Many people who fall, even if uninjured, become afraid of falling. This fear often causes a person to cut down on their everyday activities. When a person is less active, they become weaker, which increases their chances of falling.

Studies have shown therapeutic exercise to be the #1 way of reducing pain and improving mobility. This includes strength training, stretching, assisted range of motion, gait/balance training, rhythmic stabilization and more.
When nearing the end of your clinical plan of care, your physical therapist will prepare an at-home program. This program will equip you with necessary tools to maintain gains made during your participation in physical therapy.
